We loved our tour of the Douro Valley and Porto!  The highlight for me was not just one experience. Still, the whole tour - It was perfect execution of the entire tour experience!….from planning assistance through the office with (you) Barbara (and other kind ladies), through the Porto city tour with Bruno, the 5 days of our wonderful driver Elder, the great hotels and yacht experience!!  What a glorious few days. Thank you!

I must say this was the best vacation I have had, and I am very much in love with Portugal. Thank you for the arrangements you made, and being available to us during our trip. The lodgings at Six Senses and Yeatman were both exceptional. 

Our favorite experience was the Chef’s dinner at Six Senses. Chef Jose Maria Gomes talked with us and told us each item he was cooking and all the ingredients as he put them together.  Manuel, the sommelier, provided a different excellent wine for every dish.  Sitting right by the kitchen and watching the whole team was fascinating and enjoyable.  Every person there was pleasant and enjoyed what they were doing. 

The second favorite was our tour at Quinta das Carvalhas. We had a personal tour with Alvaro Martinho, the manager behind the winery, who is very passionate about the plants, their struggle to live, and the magic he applied to refurbish much of the winery’s land from barren to fertile, efficient grape production.  He did need to be pulled back to our timeline, but he is a fascinating person with a great passion for his work.  On top of that, the wines and ports were amazing.     

I also want to commend all the drivers for their excellent knowledge of Portugal history and the areas we visited.  A special obrigada to you and our driver Rui, who helped us with the train strike.  Without him, I am not sure my limited technical abilities would have gotten us on the bus to Porto.

We loved it all.  Our hotel accommodations at Quinta De La Rosa were beautiful.  We enjoyed the wine tour, the breakfasts, and the dinner/wine pairing was amazing. We drove ourselves to Quinta Nova which was also beautiful with a great tour.  Our luncheon/wine pairing was also amazing.  .It would have been nice to have a driver but it all worked out well. The Douro Valley is incredible. I would highly recommend this tour. 

Every aspect of the tour, from beginning of booking with Barbara, to excursions with Bruno through driving tours with Hélder, were exceptional and personable at all levels. 

We just wanted to thank you for planning such a fabulous trip for us.  It was truly wonderful.  We loved everything, especially Casa do Rio Foz Coa Wine Hotel - the setting, the food, and the wines were excellent. We also loved the trip to Quinta das Carvalhas (our guide Emilio was fun and knowledgeable). 

It was an amazing 10 days despite the rail strike (we took buses and spent hours at Guards bus station!).  

Aveiro was fun and Porto was manic

There are too many great things about our trip to name just one. The food, accommodations, transportation, wine, tours and all of the people we met were amazing.

Our boat cruise with Pipadouro was very special—peaceful, luxurious, and filled with stunning scenery. The winery tours were excellent, each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s rich winemaking traditions. The restaurants were exceptionally well chosen, showcasing fresh, local ingredients and authentic flavors. Every detail was thoughtfully planned. A truly unforgettable journey!

The DOC Restaurant and boat tour is an absolute must—not to be missed! The food was above and beyond anything we expected, truly exceptional. Every bite was a delight. What made the experience even more special was Joaquim—he was the best! So warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. We loved him. This tour exceeded our wildest expectations in every way. Highly recommend!

The highlight of the trip was probably the walking foodie tour.
Real great insider info on great restaurants, dishes, and foods presented in a very relaxed and pleasant manner.
But I also must highlight Ricardo, our driver on the Douro tour, who was great fun. We had a lot of fun with him and he was very helpful. He seemed very concerned about us having an amazing time and made lots of little suggestions on how to enhance the experience through beautiful little picture stops and lots of great jokes and music.
 
I would certainly recommend this trip and also your agency to family and friends.
Organization was great, and I felt like you took great care of our last minute request.

My friend and I very much enjoyed our day in the Douro Valley. Barbara organized it outstandingly. The highlight of our trip was without a doubt our driver Sergio, who was delightful company during the long drive out there and back. He drove very well, very calmly.    He was very knowledgeable about the area and about port/wine, and he seamlessly kept us on schedule. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. 

Thank you again for your excellent service. I have recommended it to other tourists.

We had a fantastic experience with our tours and our driver, Ricky! The lunch was delicious, and the extra wines at each tasting made the experience even more special. Everything was well-organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend!

Every part of the wine tour and the day was fantastic.  

Our driver made the day seamless and kept us on schedule.  I loved how it was all taken care of for us, we didn't have to worry about individual reservations for the wine tours or how we got around.  Since we've been home, we've told everyone that this day was the absolute highlight of our 10 days in Portugal.

When it comes to tourism, every part of our experience was fantastic! You were wonderful to work with in helping us achieve our trip goals, and your partners were incredibly kind, fun, and knowledgeable—the boat crew, Gabe, and the winery staff were all amazing. Plus, the views of Portugal’s wine country were breathtaking! I would highly recommend all of you to others!

Our experience with Wine Tourism in Portugal was unforgettable! The most special and unmissable parts of the tour were the walking tour in Porto and the boat tour on the Douro River. Both offered stunning views and a unique perspective of the region. We especially loved the winery in the Douro Valley, where we enjoyed delicious wines and learned about the local winemaking process. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Portugal!

The thoughtful accommodations made all the difference, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience without any stress.

Every activity was carefully planned to ensure accessibility, which was incredibly important to us. From the vineyard visits to the tastings, everything was designed with his needs in mind. The staff was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and included.

First of all, we had a wonderful trip, thank you so much for organizing everything!
 
Our highlights were:
 
The driver and his deep knowledge about Portugal and Portuguese history.
The Vineyard Chocapalha. This was by far our favorite wineyard. The tour was very intimate and lovely and definitely a highlight.
The region of Alentejo and the city of Evora: after busy and crowded Lisbon, it was nice to kind of "slow down" in this beautiful area. Our driver took us also to a castle and a cork factory, since we had some time left. This is something I would definitely recommend adding to the program.
 
Thank you so much again, and we will definitely get back to you for another tour in the future, probably for Porto and the Douro valley.
