Sublime Comporta Country Retreat & SPA

 

Nestled on a stunning 17-hectare estate, surrounded by undulating umbrella pines and cork trees, wild sand dunes, stunning rice fields and over 60 km of pristine, white-sand beaches is Sublime Comporta - a magical, unspoiled place.

The hotel offers different accommodation options spread between several buildings. Choose from the Owner's House, the Guest Suites, the Bio-Pool Suites, and countless twos to five-bedroom cabana-style villas. The architecture draws inspiration from the style of the cabanas in the village of Comporta, inhabited by local farmers and fishermen.

Each villa has a swimming pool, and there are another four swimming pools in the resort, including one for children and a heated indoor pool in the spa. We had a lovely time at our villas' and main outdoor pools. We were surprised by the expansive grounds, allowing everyone to have a nice quiet private time.

In Detail
The rooms, suites, and villas are distributed across many buildings adding to the intimacy of the hotel. These are the Owner’s House, the Guest Suites, the Bio-Pool Suites and various 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom cabana style villas all of which include a private pool, fireplace, and terraces.

Restaurants & Bars
Enjoy Portugal’s culinary delights at Sem Porta, the main restaurant. For an absolutely unique experience, dine in the middle of their organic experience garden at The Food Circle. Yet another option is Tasca da Comporta, a seasonal outdoor restaurant where you can enjoy the classic Portuguese petiscos.

Elegant and sophisticated, Sem Porta was designed to be in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Their commitment with flavors of Portuguese origin is evident in each dish served, enhancing the rich history and the diverse flavors of the culinary traditions.

One of the unique features is the biological vegetable garden, where they cultivate a variety of vegetables and fresh herbs that are incorporated in the dishes. In doing so, Sem Porta guaranties that the ingredients have the highest quality and flavor, allowing our team to be creative and bring a special touch to classic Portuguese recipes.

The flavors at Sem Porta are exceptional. Each dish captures the essence of Portuguese cuisine with a contemporary interpretation.

FOOD CIRCLE
A unique and exclusive experience to share on a special evening, siting around the fire while the chef prepares dinner in front of you. Natural and fresh ingredients are the main characters in this sublime moment. Fresh herbs and vegetables are picked daily from our biological garden, and the best fish and meat are chosen from local producers.

TASCA DA COMPORTA
Tasca da Comporta is a place where tradition, warmth, and Portuguese hospitality invite you to enjoy a relaxed experience. A space where the woods and abundant natural light help to create a laid-back atmosphere, surrounded by the delicious aromas and flavors from the kitchen.

BOTÂNICO BAR
Located at the heart of Sublime Comporta, Botânico Bar celebrates the beauty and complexity of nature with infusions and homemade cocktails that capture the essence of their organic garden.

POOL BAR
Pool Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink as you soak in the sun. Lie down in the comfortable sun beds, relax and enjoy Comporta's mild climate.

Sublime Comporta Beach Club
A meeting place where friends and families could get together surrounded by the area's breathtaking nature and enjoy a meal, and a day at the beach with the quality of Sublime Comporta, yet the simplicity aligned with the Comporta “attitude”.

Spa
They use locally sourced ingredients, including rice and sea salt, freshly harvested organic plants that are sustainably cultivated and grown in their Organic Garden and certified organic pure essential and vegetable oils. They have chosen to work with one of the most efficient organic and sustainable cosmetic brands in the world - Amala Organic Skincare.
 

POOLS
Sublime Comporta has four swimming pools. Two outdoor pools, one for adults and one for children, 1 indoor heated pool for adults and the bio-pool. All villas have their own private swimming pool.
