This Resort is next to the lazy and winding path of the Douro river that runs through the oldest wine-producing region of the world. This serene setting is 142 kilometers away from the International Airport of Oporto. The estate of the Resort covers 8 hectares and has 57 accommodations, three restaurants, a wine cellar with excellent vintages produced in the valley, and an impressive Six Senses Spa of 2,200 square meters.

Positioned as the ultimate wine and SPA experience of the Douro, the Resort assumes its own regional identity. The impressive historic mansion is contemporary and sophisticated at the same time. It was originally transformed into a hotel in 2007 and was then renovated to adopt technical and material innovations. Now it has been fully recreated to become Six Senses Douro Valley. This space offers impeccable service based on planned details and small surprises.

Restaurants & Bars
The gastronomic options at Six Senses Douro Valley celebrate the region. Most part of the production comes from the green valley and the surrounding countryside. An organic garden with vegetables and herbs is located on the property; therefore, the fresh ingredients are only harvested when necessary to ensure their freshness and final taste. Cooking classes are held at the hotel and guests can learn how to prepare Portuguese cuisine.

Quinta Bar and Lounge

SPA
The Six Senses SPA is very spacious, occupying 2,200 square meters. It consists of 10 treatment rooms, an indoor heated swimming pool with water jets, an outdoor swimming pool, and a refreshing bar, plus a gym with the latest workout equipment and professional guidance.

Located near to Peso da Régua, on the other bank of the river, follow the national road 222 towards Samodães and you will find the resort on your right hand.
