HERDADE DA MALHADINHA NOVA, COUNTRY HOUSE & SPA 

The Herdade da Malhadinha Nova is located in Albernoa, in the heart of Baixo Alentejo, and offers comfort and design in perfect harmony between Nature and the surrounding Landscape. Its concept is based on offering experiences wrapped in the theme of wine, as well as Wine Tourism, hotels, and restaurants. Wines are the Herdade da Malhadinha Nova ex-libris and reflect a huge respect for Nature and for all the passion and dedication taken for their creation.

The vine planted in 2000 takes now a total area of 33 ha. (81 ac.) - 27 ha. (66 ac.) on production and 6 ha. (15 ac.) of the new vine.

The wine Tourism experiences and the modern Cellar, combining traditional wine-making methods with technology, are one of the best reasons to visit the Herdade. Besides the wine production the Herdade has complementary areas: the production of Olive Oil 100% Galega from the 60 ha. (148 ac.), traditional olive grove, breeding of the Alentejana DOP caw, an indigenous breed perfectly adapted to the conditions of the region, breeding of the Alentejano DOP black pig and the Lusitano thoroughbred horse.

In Detail
The Herdade has an accommodation capacity of 10 rooms distributed by 3 Suites and 7 Double Rooms, all magnificently and individually decorated where luxury stands out in comfort and details.

The Hotel also offers a wide range of facilities and services such as an outdoor Swimming Pool, Spa, Jacuzzi, and the Gourmet Restaurant Malhadinha - Wine & Gourmet in the cellar building.

To complement the accommodation service, the Herdade develops a set of activities and experiences in thematic weeks dedicated to Photography, Painting, Cuisine, Adventure, Yoga, or Horse Riding, in order to offer our guests a week of passion, serenity, and emotion.

Wine tourism, horse riding, hiking, Moto 4, Jeep or BTT tours, and adventure related activities are great experiences provided by the Herdade da Malhadinha Nova.

Restaurants & Bars
Wine & Gourmet
Part of the Cellar building, this new space offers a creative signature cuisine, preserving the land products in modern interpretations accompanying the excellent wines of the Herdade. Led by the Consultant Chef Joachim Koerper [Michelin Star] and in collaboration with the Executive Chef Bruno Antunes and cook Vitalina Santos, suggests seasonal menus inspired by the gastronomy of Alentejo. 

Cellar
The Cellar of Malhadinha Nova is traditional and sophisticated and brings together a unique set of characteristics favorable for the production of distinctive wines of the highest quality. Located just a few meters away from the vineyard, the cellar takes advantage of the sloping terrain which allows making the entire wine-making process by gravity. The grapes arrive packed in small boxes of 12 kg and are unloaded directly into the modern refrigerated wineries where treading perfectly blends the traditional wine-making methods and technology in order to get the full potential that Nature offered the grapes in the vineyard.

The barrel cellar dug several feet deep down into the hillside, gives the wine excellent conditions for aging.

SPA
The SPA of the Herdade is a relaxation retreat, where you can enjoy a refreshing, invigorating, and flavored atmosphere.
