Quinta do Seixo is located in Cima-Corgo, in the heart of the Douro Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following the Douro river from Régua to Pinhão, you can easily discover this old Quinta of the 17^thcentury and its cellar of contemporary design.

In Detail

The view from Quinta do Seixo is breathtaking throughout the year, in a constant change of colour and light. A magnificent landscape, shaped by man in shale terraces, a surprising contrast with the brightness of the Douro river and the view of the picturesque village of Pinhão nearby.

The vineyard, with over 100 years, is a true heritage of many traditional Douro grape varieties that still resist to the most harsh conditions and temperatures, producing unique and top quality wines.

After the harvest, the grapes are carefully selected to be trodden in the twelve robotic mills. Here the fermentation happens in a process that combines the best of tradition with the latest technology. On the grape harvest season, you can observe the work and the bustle of the wine making team and to feel the richness of the first aromas of the Port wine.

This was the best vineyard tours we have done & in a beautiful setting. The young gentleman that took us around was very informative & fun & we all enjoyed being outside & in the vineyard with that glorious view & tasting the fresh figs & almonds along with the wine of course. Then back to the winery & a tour of the winemaking process again very knowledgeable & informative.Finally we were taken back to the Quinta sat in some comfortable chairs & sampled some of the lovely port wines without any rush or haste. Thank you so much would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of a tour & not knowing which one to choose, as there are so many but this one goes the extra mile, fabulous.
