The north of Portugal is where the country's identity was born, in this ancient landscape, with traces of man prior to the Bronze Age, is where Quinta do Ameal is located. This is a small property that exists since 1710. Here, white wines of excellence are created and produced, made of a variety of Portuguese grapes that is called Loureiro. This grape variety reaches its most aromatic and tasty expression in this fantastic Lima Valley.
In Detail
The wines are produced exclusively from organic grapes that grow in the farm, based on a very own production’s philosophy that results on focusing greater attention and energy in the vineyard, thereby generating grapes of great quality and excellence for the production of unique "terroir" wines, with great personality and character. For Quinta do Ameal, a great wine should always express a sense of belonging to a place.
The wine is exported to over 15 countries and you can find Ameal on the wine lists of many of the best and most demanding World restaurants as well as on the most prestigious shops.
