elected twine as the anchor of its inspiration and offers a unique rural
experience that allows all owners to become wine producers with customized
bottles, with the support of the team of the prestigious oenologist Paulo
Laureano, that closely follows the growth of the grape and vine until harvest
time..
In Detail
The L'AND
cellar is equipped with all modern oenological technology requirements aimed to
ensure a high standard wine quality and is the place chosen for its
production.
The Cellar is ready to receive grapes with different levels of selection, fermentations with controlled temperature, storage rooms with tanks or barrels with thermal conditioning, different packaging options and rooms for bottle ageing. The micro-tubs, whose wood is selected by the owners, will allow to design entirely customized wines from the previously selected grapes.
Each owner can produce its own wine, choose its own package and its customized label as well. This production can be stored in individual safes in the restaurant wine cellar, can be offered or even commercialized.
All owners and hotel guests will become exclusive members of the WineClub, a privileged space for the promotion of wine culture and the sharing of experiences, such as the access to the Cellar for producing wine, harvest of the shared vineyard, oenology courses, wine contests and events or order bottled L'AND wine with customized labels.
The 7 ha. (17ac.) vineyard area, was cultivated with the red grapes varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Alicante Bouschet and white varieties Vedelho and Arinto. The total production must not exceed 6.000 bottles, thus privileging the annual production of small amounts of reserve wine. The production is natural, by using organic fertilizers and avoiding the use of chemical synthesis.

Locations & Directions
L'AND Vineyards is located 4 km.(2.5 mi.) from Montemor-o-Novo, Alentejo.About 45 minutes from Lisbon airport and about 3h50 from Porto.
From Lisbon, take the Almada / Setúbal road towards the 25 de Abril bridge (partial toll road), take the motorway A2 to Setúbal, take the exit 7 to converge on the A6 motorway towards Évora / Spain / Santarém (toll motorway). Then take the exit 3 to converge on the N114 road towards Montemor-o-Novo. At the 1st roundabout, turn right towards Vendas-Novas, take the N4 road and 2 km (1.24 mi.) afterwards reverse the direction. Then drive for 400 m. (0,25 mi.), turn right (after the viaduct) and drive 500 m. (0.31 mi.) more until the resort entrance.
From Porto, take the A1 motorway on the direction of Lisbon, take the exit towards A10 and merge onto the A10 motorway. Take exit 6 to merge onto the A13 motorway towards A6, stay left at the fork, and follow the signs A6/Évora/Vendas Novas and merge onto the A6 motoway. Take the exit 3 towards Montemor-o-Novo, until you reach the N114 road. At the roundabout take the 1st exit to GagoCoutinho Av./N4,
follow the N4 road and then turn left.

Go for the food and wines definitely. The entire main building, the hotel, restaurant, winery and spa, is a delight.
