The Aliança brand is one of the most prestigious brands in Portugal with 87 years of history already. Established in 1927 in Sangalhos (Anadia), Aliança has early showed its willingness to grow internationally, starting to export its wines to Brazil, Africa and Europe. Today, this trend prevails and more than 50% of its products are meant for export.
The rigour and excellence of Aliança, are appreciated n the many awards that this brand has received, national and international, for wines such as Quinta dos Quatro Ventos Quinta da Garrida, Quinta da Terrugem, Quinta das Baceladas or Alabastro. In 2005 the company was regarded as one of the 20 best companies in the wine sector worldwide by the prestigious American magazine Wine Spectator. It is the only company of the Iberian Peninsula included in this classification.
Recently acquired by Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal that made heavy investments in an attempt to create a space of memories and tradition, allied to the modern technology and the contemporary world of wine. The result was the rehabilitation of the premises in Sangalhos and the birth of the Aliança Underground Museum, an exhibition space that grows along the traditional wine cellars of Aliança Vinhos de Portugal, full of art works from different fields, covering an impressive time line of millions of years.

The guided tour to the galleries of Aliança Underground Museum is something from another world. The different colections from different artistic worlds and the Bairrada Moment with the Sommelier is a must do.
