Check-In in the magnificent Bussaco Palace Hotel.
The breakfast will be served in the hotel. During the morning, you will visit this palace, located in the Serra do Bussaco (Bussaco’s Saw), built in the eighteen century for the last Kings of Portugal. Considered one of the most beautiful, romantic and historic of the world, you can enjoy walking in this national park full of vegetation and monuments. After your free lunch, you will visit the Aliança Underground Museum, where you will have a wine tasting of its best wines and a visit to the eight different collections of the museum: archeology, ethnography, mineralogy, paleontology, tiles, ceramics and tin; covering the history of millions years. In the returning to Coimbra you will visit Conímbriga, the main roman city in Portugal which was inhabited between the fourth century B.C. and the seventh and eight centuries A.D. At the end of the day you will enjoy a Tasting Menu in one of the most beautiful and renowned restaurants in Portugal, the João Vaz restaurant, located in the old feast hall of Braganças, with its incredible Arabic ceiling and its beautiful paintings made by João Vaz, where besides the Portuguese cuisine reinvented by the Chef Dionísio Ferreira, inspired by the well-known Escoffier, there are the legendary Bussaco Wines well-known all over the world.
The breakfast will be served in the hotel. On your way to Coimbra you must visit the Coimbra’s University where you might find some students dressed with its traditional black capes with black cassock. Free lunch. Continuing, you will pass through the Old Cathedral from 1139, visit the historic downtown and the Santa Clara Monastery. In the Quinta das Lágrimas you will visit one of the most beautiful although tragic love stories. In this place it will be revealed the legendary love between the Prince Pedro and Inês de Castro. In the final of the day you will enjoy an excellent meal in the Arcadas restaurant, where the biggest jewel is the wine "Pedro & Inês", made with two traditional vine varieties of the region.
