"The itinerary organised for us by WTP was great. We tasted some lovely wines and ports, and had some wonderful meals. When a problem arose, WTP responded to emails and Facebook messages very quickly and on a Sunday. I highly recommend WTP."

Beautiful city full of charm. The buildings are very beautiful with history. Having the opportunity to taste the wines in the most beautiful Cellars I have visited is a unique experience. The whole booking process was very easy and Wine Tourism has a very helpful staff.

Day 1

Check-in at Carris Ribeira Hotel. Located in the heart of Porto, you can find the Hotel Carris Porto Ribeira just around the corner of a number of relevant places of this city. This is a recent hotel that is the result of a comprehensive rehabilitation of 5 listed buildings converted into a four star superior hotel with a restoration that respects the original architecture. The rehabilitation project has left visible the medieval and Romanesque remains, and the stone of the original structure of the buildings, as well as the wooden floors, are well integrated in the areas available to the general public. Located in the heart of the historic centre of Porto, aUNESCO World Heritage site

Dinner will be served at Traça Restaurant. The restaurant opened its doors in the summer of 2011, and has since been highly praised by some of the toughest gastronomic critiques around. What moves them, above all, is the quality of the recipes, as well as its uniqueness, all based on an Iberian cuisine where you are able to taste the best of what Portugal have to offer. The re-qualification and refurbishment of the space in whichTraçais located is also worth mentioning. In a building of antique refined architecture, a house which used to be a drug store, the wooden structures, the tiles and the iron work are quite notorious. The slates, the game trophies and the antique cupboards compose the environment of this intriguing space which calls out for you.

End of the day.

At a short walking distance, you will visit Ferreira Cellars. Go back to the origins of the Portuguese soul and tradition with a glass of Ferreira Port wine. The Croft family joined the business in 1736 and played a prominent role in the Port Wine industry, leading Croft to the prime position that still holds today. Croft reputation as a producer of Vintage Port wine is largely due to the fact of being the owner of Quinta da Roêda (one of the best properties in the Douro Valley) and its legendary wines.
