The Eleven Restaurant possesses a group of tangible elements which differentiate it and assume a determinant importance of the concept of experience proposed to the customers itself.
It stands out since the beginning by the building’s architecture (architectonic project by Arch. João Correia) who assumes himself as a modernist and minimalist in the exterior decorative forms and elements. It is a building that uses natural materials (stone, wood) connecting to the exterior, through the enormous windows turned to Tejo. There are also concrete elements at first sight, which confer to the building a sense of vanguardism and modernity.
One of its central elements is the kitchen, assumed as a piece of decoration itself, since it does not only exist a transparent zone for the customers, but they can actually enter the kitchen, as a table for meals will be placed there.
Eleven Restaurant has obtained its first Michelin star in November 2005, one year after its opening, what makes it an extremely rare case.
The gastronomical concept of Eleven Restaurant is profoundly rooted in the knowledge of its chef, Joachim Koerper. This Chef has a unique capacity to ally his knowledge to the places he works in, in order to adapt his creativity and recreate traditional courses and discovering new ways to utilize the ingredients available in our squares and markets.
Since 2010, the Eleven Restaurant become part of the Relais & Châteaux family and Joachim Koerper is the Grand Chef.
The wine menu from Eleven is most completely, properly selected and advised by its competent sommelier.
The restaurant is situated in the Street Marquês de Fronteira, exactly opposite from Palácio da Justiça in Lisbon. More than to be located in this artery of the city, the space is situated above the garden of the Park Eduardo VII, until now a non-building area. It is relatively away from the street and completely surrounded by green areas.
